FAQ

What is the difference between the BV250 and BV200A violin models?

The BV250 Stradivari Tribute is crafted for advanced and professional players who want concert-grade projection and tonal depth. The BV200A is a handcrafted student and intermediate violin designed for smooth playability, stable tuning, and great value for developing musicians.

Are the violins handmade or machine-assembled?

All violins are handcrafted using traditional luthier techniques for superior sound quality and unique wood grain aesthetics.

Do the violins come pre-tuned and ready to play?

Yes, each violin is tuned, tested, and fully set up by a professional before shipping to ensure a playable instrument out of the box.

What comes with the violin?

Each violin set includes a full-size handcrafted violin, a protective rectangular case with straps, a Brazilwood bow, rosin, a tuner, a violin shoulder rest, four spare strings, and a user manual. It has everything you need to start playing right away.

Do the violins really sound different because of the varnish?

Yes, the importance of varnish on acoustic violins is a vital factor. Each violin is coated by hand with more than 12 thin layers of protective finish. The BV250 uses spirit varnish, and the BV200A uses hand-applied lacquer.

This careful finishing process enhances resonance, protects the tonewood, and brings out a warm, natural glow without adding a heavy coating that dulls the sound.

Do the included violin bows use real horsehair?

Yes. Each violin bow is made from Brazilwood and unbleached horsehair, providing an authentic tone with excellent responsiveness.

Is the violin case durable enough for school or travel?

Yes. The included rectangular case is foam-padded with compartments and straps to keep the violin safe and easy to carry.

What size violins do the shoulder rests fit?

Both the maple wood and nylon shoulder rests fit 3/4 and 4/4 violins. They feature adjustable, rotatable feet that make them easy to attach securely and prevent slipping during play.

Will the shoulder rest damage my violin’s finish?

No. The contact feet are made of smooth, non-abrasive material that grips safely without scratching or affecting the violin’s varnish.

Are the bridges in the kit already pre-cut?

The Violin Bridge & Strings with Ball-End (GDAE) kit includes bridges that are pre-cut with grooves for each string, ready to install on a standard 4/4 violin. No trimming or sanding is required. Each bridge is precisely shaped for stable placement and clear, balanced sound projection.

Do ball-end strings affect violin sound or tuning stability?

Ball-end strings are easy to install and provide reliable tuning stability with a bright, balanced tone. Made of nickel-plated steel, they deliver consistent sound and long-lasting performance.

Can I use this string kit on other brands of 4/4 violins?

Yes. The included strings and bridges are standard 4/4 components that fit any full-size violin, regardless of brand.

How often should I replace my violin strings?

For regular players, replacing strings every 3 to 6 months ensures optimal tone and reduces breakage risk.

  • Students and beginners learning to play.

  • Intermediate players upgrading their setup.
