Oatmeal Moisturizing Shampoo

Supplies Needed:

• 1 cup uncooked oatmeal (not instant oats)
• sprigs of rosemary
• 1/3 cup baking soda
• 4 cups water
• measuring cups
• frying pan
• blender
• glass jar for storage

Instructions: 

Step 1: Plase rosemary sprigs in a pan and heat for 15 minutes on a low temperature. Remove sprig when finished cooking, 

Step 2: USe the blender to grind oats until they are like flour

Step 3: Mix baking soda into the oats 

Step 4: Combine rosemary infused water with the oats and baking soda

Step 5: Pour contents into jar and used within 3 days of making 

Flea Bath Soap

Fleas are not only a problem for your pet, but they can also completely invade a home. More than often, pet owners turn to harsh chemicals to solve the infestation problem. However, there are natural ways you can save your pet from this common pest problem. Be sure to add extra essential oil to dilute the harsh smell of vinegar. 

Supplies Needed:

• 1/2 cup of water
• 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar
• 1/4 cup of  Dawn dish liquid 
• Soap dispenser with pump 

Instructions:

Pour the water, vinegar and dish liquid into a soap dispenser and shake well before each use.

Homemade Dry Pet Shampoo

If you have a pet that is afraid of, or hates taking baths then the homemade dry pet shampoo is for you. You can clean your pet at home without the use of water. This recipe will help moisturize fur while removing foul odors. 

Supplies Needed:

• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 1/4 cup cornstarch
• 3-4 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions: 

Step 1: Simply combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until even. When completed, funnel the mixture into a glass jar or holding case. Shake over your pet then brush through the fur, until the mixture disappears.
