Halloumi Nuggets with Marinara Dipping Sauce
Our favorite New Year’s Eve appetizer is our Halloumi Nuggets! These delicious deep-fried cheese nuggets go great with marinara sauce and make a great finger food for any party. This delicious twist on cheese sticks can be made quickly and easily with our deep fryer! Here’s what you need:
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds halloumi cheese, cut into large bite sized cubes about 1 ½”
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 7 to 10 basil leaves
- oil for frying
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Directions:
- Place flour, beaten eggs and breadcrumbs in three separate bowls
- Cover the halloumi cubes in flour, then beaten eggs, then breadcrumbs.
- After cubes are fully coated, place on a baking tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 350˚F.
- Cook each cheese cube for 3 minutes or until golden brown
- Drain on a paper towel and season with salt and pepper
- Serve with warm marinara sauce
Deep Fried Oreos, Twinkies, and Candy Bars
Christmas time is the best time for warm sugary treats! There are many different types of Christmas Deep Fried Snacks, but our favorite hands down are deep fried oreos, twinkies, and candy bars topped with a little powdered sugar! Nothing gets you into the Christmas spirit more than these warm pastries! Let’s get started:
Ingredients:
- Oreos, Twinkies, Cookie dough and or mini candy bars
- 1 C all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 3/4 C whole milk
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
Directions:
- Freeze the oreos, Twinkies, or candy
- Heat the oil to 375 F
- Mix flour, salt, baking powder, butter, milk, and eggs in a bowl
- Cover the pastry or candy in the batter and shake off slightly
- Fry for 1 - 1 1/2 mins each side or until golden
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for a Christmas feeling!
Deep Fried Potato Balls
From turkey to pumpkin bites, Thanksgiving Deep-Fried Foods are the best! You don’t know what you’re missing if you haven’t tried these deep fried potato balls! They are savory, crispy, and easy to make! Here is what you need:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound baking potatoes (about 2 large)
- Cooking oil
- 1 1/4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 packet Ranch seasoning
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- Sour cream and chives (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Bake potatoes for 1 hour or until tender
- Peel and mash when tender
- Heat deep fryer oil to 350°F.
- Mix potatoes, cheese, ranch seasoning, bacon, chives, and salt in a large bowl
- Shape into 1 ½-inch balls
- Mix flour, eggs, and baking powder in a large bowl
- Dip potatoes bowls in egg mixture
- Deep fry for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown
- Drain on paper towel
- Serve with sour cream and chives
Surprisingly Delicious Candy Corn Glazed Deep Fried Chicken Wings

Ingredients
Vegetable or peanut oil, for frying
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon paprika
3 pounds chicken wings, split at the joints, tips removed
1 1/2 cups Frank's RedHot sauce (or 3/4 cup other hot sauce)
1 stick unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
¼ cup water
Instructions
- Heat your cooking oil to about 375 degrees
- Place the flour and paprika in a small bowl and coat the thawed out chicken wings
- Put chicken wings in the deep fryer for about 10-15 minutes
- Drain on a paper towel
- Mix the hot sauce with the butter and the honey and melt in a boiler or saucepan
- Melt candy corn in a double boiler or saucepan
- Combine candy corn with mixture
- Coat wings in sauce
- Sprinkle candy corn on top for decoration
Bacon Wrapped Cheese Fries

Ingredients:
- 8 slices of bacon, cut into thirds
- 75-100 crinkle-cut frozen french fries
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Cooking oil
Directions:
- Tightly roll three or four french fries together with a piece of bacon.
- Repeat with remaining fries and bacon pieces.
- Heat cooking oil to 375 degrees
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Dip fries in oil and cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown
- Sprinkle with cheese and place in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Serve with BBQ sauce
Deep Fried Vegan Calamari (oyster Mushrooms)
Vegan deep fried foods are crispy and tasty! Deep fried oyster mushrooms taste exactly like calamari! This delicious vegan recipe can be made in just a few minutes and will satisfy even the pickiest eater! Here’s how you get started!
Ingredients:
- 100 grams oyster mushrooms (shredded by hand)
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 pinch paprika powder
- 1/2 garlic (small, minced)
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
- 2 tablespoons plain flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons plain flour
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Directions:
- Combine shredded oyster mushrooms with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and minced garlic in a large mixing bowl
- Mix almond milk, flour, and salt in a separate bowl
- Add 6 tbsp of flour on a plate or in a separate bowl
- Heat vegetable oil to 375 degrees
- Dip oyster mushroom into the almond milk, then coat with flour
- Place into deep fryer
- Fry only a few pieces at a time to ensure even cooking and to prevent sticking
- Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
- Drain on paper towel
- Serve with freshly squeezed lime juice
Deep Fried Margarita

Ingredients:
- 1 Lemon cake, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1 lime, zested and juiced
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- canola oil
Directions:
- Heat cooking oil to 350 degrees
- Mix tequila and lime juice in a bowl
- Dip each cake cube in the mixture
- Quickly transfer to the oil
- Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
- Drain on a paper towel
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve

Ingredients:
- 4 large green tomatoes
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornmeal
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:
- Slice tomatoes into ½ inch thick pieces and discard the ends
- Mix eggs and milk in a medium bowl
- Place flour on a plate
- Combine cornmeal, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper on a separate plate
- Dip tomatoes in flour, then eggs, then completely coat with breadcrumbs
- Heat cooking oil to 375 degrees
- Evenly cook tomato slices for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
- Drain on paper towels
- Season with salt and pepper and serve
Deep Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Deep fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are sweet and one of our favorite unique deep fried recipes! Not only is it vegetarian, but when cut into small triangles makes the perfect finger food! Children and adults love these sweet treats. Here’s what you need:
Ingredients:
- Peanut oil, for deep-frying
- About 1/2 loaf bread
- About 1/2 cup peanut butter
- About 1/2 cup strawberry jam (or any flavor)
- About 2 1/4 cups banana chips (optional)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
- Heat oil in deep fryer to 325°F
- Cut the bread into even slices
- Make mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and place banana chips in the center
- In a bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt with ½ cup of milk and vanilla until the batter is smooth
- Tightly close each mini sandwich
- Dip each mini sandwich into the batter
- Fry for 2- 2 ½ minutes or until golden brown on each side
- Drain on paper towel

Who doesn’t love a juicy avocado? We love them in every form- especially when they’re deep fried! Deep fried avocados are a healthier alternative than french fries and other deep fried foods and are just as good! Take a look at our recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 avocados, halved, seeded, peeled and sliced lengthwise
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- Heat vegetable oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees
- Salt avocado to taste
- Cover avocado slices in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, then finally coat with Panko bread crumbs
- In smaller batches dip avocado slices into deep fryer
- Cook for 1-2 minutes at a time or until golden brown
- Drain on a paper towel
- Serve with chipotle cream sauce
